Why is the Cryptocurrency Rate on Paxful Different from What I See on Other Platforms?

Some currencies in the Paxful marketplace (Argentine Peso and Nigerian Naira) use what’s called the “market rate” for BTC. The market rate is different from the official “bank rate” that is seen on other platforms. We use the market rate instead of the bank rate because the bank rate is traditionally known as being less favorable. This led us to use the market rate to help these communities make the most out of their currencies.

For these currencies, it’s important to remember that when you’re trading on Paxful, the rate may be different than what you see on other platforms.
